This is so awesome.

Also, I'd like to point out that I just tried to schedule an eye exam to renew my contact lens prescription, and the first available appointment was May 21st at 7:45 am. That's 47 days away. I suspect that a student health center with 35,000 students might want to have more than one optometrist.

You'd think our university would make it easier for the student body to be healthy. Unbelievable.

And about Obama... I haven't made up my mind about him yet, but it's really nice to see that the race is competitive.

I agree (re: Obama), but I bemoan the fact that it comes down to who gets more money. I'm just happy nothing is in the proverbial bag, so to speak.

As for appointments, I have a pretty standard health care provider. I called two months before I was due for my annual exam (you know, the thing women about which women are supposed to be diligent otherwise they clearly just don't care about their own health) and I got an appointment FIVE months later--with the Nurse Practioner no less (not even my own doctor). But,, there's not need to reform health care in this country...none at all.

Welcome back, btw. Sounds like you had a good trip.

The secret to Ashe eye appointments is to go on line at midnight and make a same day appointment. Works well.
